GK4 round 2 at Genk is in the bag and we’re done for three weekends of back to back racing action. We were quick thats for sure, but it wasn’t good enough to secure a podium. In heat 1 we had the left line during the start, which was slower, and pushed us way back in the pack. We caught up with the front runners but we were held up – P4.

Heat 2 wasn’t any different – the inner line was just faster during the start. Again stuck in the pack, some small mistakes and a penalty for overtaking under yellow pushed us back to P9.

In the finals we started from P5 -right line – we managed to stick together with the 5 fastest but a miscalculation in the end costs us the podium. Finished P4, happy but lesson learnt: never hold back from overtaking a competitor even when you think he has a penalty.
